I've been extremely busy and finally got around to making this quick video of Easter. This year was the second time my mom and I spent it with the ladyB and her fambam and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Every year that passes I am understanding the greatness that Easter holds. It's more than an egg hunt and eating chocolate bunnies, it's the day that Jesus overcame death and He is the one that offers eternal life and forgiveness of sins. I am incredibly grateful that I could have shared that day with those that God has blessed me with.
the lady best and i started our summer by heading out to palm springs which luckily is only over an hour away. california is truly the only place for me; it has the mountains, the beach, the desert and so much more. we played with dinosaurs, got our date shake on at hadley's, went to the local antique stores, stuffed our faces at king's highway, cooled down at a local pool and danced by the wind mills. there was a slight glitter in the air and our skin had that summer glow. it was one great day.
last sunday, i drove to la to spend much deserved time with my favorite red head, hope. it was truly a beautiful sunday. you know, that day when the skies are blue without a cloud in sight, only a light sweater is needed, and everyone seems to be smiling? yeah, us californians are spoiled. we first ventured to silver lake to eat at cafe stella; if you haven't tried their lemon ricotta pancakes, you clearly haven't lived. after we enjoyed silver lake, we went to venice and walked along the boardwalk. it was a beautiful california sunday that ended with dancing until sunset.

if you didn't already know, oh, hello friend just had their grand opening! so when danni asked me to make all of the chalk signs for the store, i couldn't have been more excited! the new store is in downtown fullerton which is ten minutes away from where i live and walking distance from my school, so i will definitely be visiting between classes. the night couldn't have gone any better with good people, yummy treats, a photo booth, a diy station, and of course oh, hello friend goodies! if you're in the fullerton area, go pop in to say hi and take a look at her awesome stuff, i promise you will love it!

a year ago, today, i had the pleasure of being the wedding stylist at my friends' wedding. christian and reinna are one of favorite couples, so i was honored when they asked me to assist with the decor. they wanted something that was very intimate, fun, and laid back, so we opted for a diy look. we spent many days having "diy parties" to make decor, and what we didn't make, we purchased at thrift stores and flea markets. it is definitely my favorite wedding that i have yet to be apart of. congrats creinna on your one year mark!
